## How Dean's List Qualification Works

The Dean's List is a semester-by-semester academic honor for students meeting both GPA and credit-hour minimums.

### Typical Requirements
- **Minimum GPA**: Usually 3.5 or higher
- **Minimum Credits**: Usually 12+ credits (full-time)
- **No Incomplete Grades**: Most schools require all grades finalized

Lösungsbeispiel

A student earns a 3.6 GPA in a 15-credit semester. Dean's List requires 3.5 GPA and 12 credits.

  1. Semester GPA: 3.6 >= 3.5 minimum - Meets requirement
  2. Credits taken: 15 >= 12 minimum - Meets requirement
  3. Both conditions met: Qualifies for Dean's List
  4. GPA margin: 3.6 - 3.5 = +0.10 above minimum
