How to Calculate Light Pollution

Light pollution is wasted light that shines upward or sideways instead of illuminating the intended area.

Formula

Wasted Lumens = Fixtures * Lumens * Uplight %

Wasted Energy = Total Energy * Uplight %

Types of Light Pollution
