  • Reduced by 5/9 of 1% per month for the first 36 months early
  • Reduced by 5/12 of 1% per month beyond 36 months
  • Delayed Retirement Credits (after FRA)

  • Increased by 8% per year (2/3 of 1% per month) up to age 70
  • हल किया गया उदाहरण

PIA of $2,500, claiming at age 62 with FRA of 67.

    1. Months early = (67 − 62) × 12 = 60 months
    2. First 36 months: 36 × 5/900 = 20% reduction
    3. Remaining 24 months: 24 × 5/1200 = 10% reduction
    4. Total reduction = 30%
    5. Monthly benefit = $2,500 × (1 − 0.30) = $1,750
