How Pass/Fail Grading Works

Pass/fail converts a percentage grade into a binary outcome.

Formula

Pass = Current Score >= Passing Threshold

Common Thresholds

  • Undergraduate: 60% (D) or 70% (C)
  • Graduate: 70% (C) or 80% (B)
