## How to Calculate Work Hours

Subtract break time from daily hours, then multiply by the number of workdays.

### Formula

**Net Daily Hours = Hours Per Day - Break Minutes / 60**

**Total Hours = Net Daily Hours x Workdays**

22 workdays, 8-hour days with 60-minute lunch, earning $30/hr.

  1. Net hours per day = 8 - 60/60 = 7.0 hours
  2. Total work hours = 7.0 x 22 = 154.0 hours
  3. Total earnings = 154.0 x $30 = $4,620.00
  4. Total break time = 1.0 x 22 = 22.0 hours
