## How to Estimate Homework Time

The standard guideline is 2 hours of study per credit hour per week.

### Formula

**Weekly Homework = Total Credits x Study Ratio**

**Total Commitment = Class Hours + Homework Hours**

### Study Ratio Guidelines
- Easy courses: 1.5:1
- Standard courses: 2:1
- Difficult courses (STEM, writing-heavy): 3:1

Exemple Résolu

5 courses at 3 credits each with a 2:1 study ratio.

  1. Total credits = 5 x 3 = 15
  2. Weekly homework = 15 x 2 = 30 hours
  3. Daily average = 30 / 7 = 4.3 hours
  4. Total weekly commitment = 15 (class) + 30 (study) = 45 hours
