How to Calculate Your SAT Score
The SAT total score is the sum of two section scores, each ranging from 200 to 800.
Formula
Total SAT Score = Reading & Writing Score + Math Score
Scores range from 400 (minimum) to 1600 (maximum).
Exemplo Resolvido
A student scores 580 on Reading & Writing and 570 on Math.
- Total SAT = 580 + 570 = 1150
- Estimated percentile = round((1150 - 400) / 1200 * 100) = 63
- Section difference = 580 - 570 = 10 (stronger in R&W)
