How Unit Pricing Works
Unit pricing divides the total cost by the number of items in a package, giving a standardized measure to compare products of different sizes.
Formula
Unit Price = Total Price / Quantity
A lower unit price means better value for the same product.
Worked Example
A 12-pack of sparkling water costs $8.99.
