How to Calculate Work-Study Hours
Divide your total work-study award by your hourly rate and weeks available.
Formula
Hours per Week = Total Award / (Hourly Rate x Weeks)
Most work-study positions allow 10–15 hours per week during the school year.
Worked Example
A $3,000 work-study award at $12/hour over 30 weeks.
total_award = 3000hourly_rate = 12weeks = 30
