How to Calculate Attendance Rate
Attendance rate is the percentage of school days a student was present.
Formula
Attendance Rate = (Days Present / Total School Days) x 100
Chronic absence is defined as missing 10% or more of school days (attendance below 90%).
Example Calculation
A student is present 165 out of 180 school days.
