How It Works
How to Estimate Juice Nutrition
Formulas
Juice Volume = Produce Weight x Yield %
Calories = Juice Volume x Calories per 100 mL / 100
Juice Yields
Juicing removes most fiber, so juice is higher in sugar per serving than whole fruit.
Worked Example
Juice 300 g of apples.
produce_weight_g = 300juice_yield_pct = 60cal_per_100ml = 46
- 01Juice yield: 300 x 60% = 180 mL.
- 02Calories: 180 x 46/100 = 82.8 kcal.
- 03Approx. sugar: 180 x 0.1 = 18 g.
